Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday visited the families of those who lost their lives in the recent accidental explosion at the Nowgam Police Station, extending heartfelt condolences and assuring full government support.
The Chief Minister visited the family of Late Aijaz Afzal Mir at HMT Zainakote, Late Mohammad Amin Mir at Bemina, Late Showkat Ahmad Bhat at Qamarwari, Late Suhail Ahmad Rather at Natipora, and Late Mohd. Shafi Paray at Wanabal.
Expressing deep grief, Omar Abdullah conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls. He also prayed for strength and courage for the families to cope with their profound loss.
“This tragic incident has taken away dedicated individuals who served the people with sincerity and commitment. Their loss is a collective loss for Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.
The Chief Minister assured the families that the government stands by them in this difficult time and will extend every possible assistance. He also confirmed support from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Later, Omar Abdullah visited Ujala Cygnus Hospital in Nowgam to meet the injured. He reviewed their medical condition, interacted with attending doctors and families, and instructed the medical staff to ensure the best possible care.
“Every injured individual must receive the highest level of treatment. Their wellbeing is our foremost priority,” he said.
Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Chanapora Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo, and other concerned officials accompanied the Chief Minister during the visits
