Sh. Pawan Kotwal Advisor to Hon’ble LG attended the publication of first digitized land records of Hemis village of UT Ladakh

Kharu, October 14, 2024: Advisor to Hon’ble LG Pawan Kotwal, Sh. Ghulam Mehdi Hon’ble Executive councillor (Minority affairs) and Deputy Commissioner Leh Santosh Sukhadeve have attended the publication of first digitized land records of Hemis village under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) scheme at Hemis Community Hall. Hemis Village has become the first village to publish digitized land records under this scheme. During the event, three key documents were launched: Digitized Jamabandi, Digitized Survey Map, and Area Differential Sheet.While addressing the gathering Advisor emphasized on the need of updated modern digital land records in today’s time and called upon the public to actively come forward for this grand land digitisation scheme in UT Ladakh which will be helpful in the all-round development of the UT Ladakh for the coming generations.He also highlighted the significance of Hemis Monastery, stating, “This is the world’s famous monastery. All the Buddhist religious scriptures have been digitized in today’s time.” The Advisor added, “We will consider this as a baseline and will finish it. We will also translate it. Our purpose is not to keep the record in one language and will translate it into Bodhi as well.”Advisor also inaugurated the modern record room at newly built SDM Office, Deputy commissioner/CEO Leh was also present at the time of inauguration besides ACR Leh and officers from CPWD department.

PM Modi Chairs 11th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting; CMs, UT Heads Attend

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The high-level meeting brought together Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers serving as ex officio members, along with special invitees. The Vice Chairman, members, and Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog are also present. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are also present at the meeting. Several Chief Ministers, including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Assam's Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bihar's Samrat Choudhary, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, also participated in the meeting. Newly elected Chief Ministers and leaders, including West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay, Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar and Keralam CM VD Satheesan, are also present in the meeting.
