Principal and District Sessions Judge administers oath to newly elected councillor of 21-Thangdumbur constituency

Kargil, Oct 23, 2024: Oath ceremony for newly elected member of the 21-Thangdumbur constituency of the 5th Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil was organised today by Election authority/ DC Kargil.

Agah Syed Ahmad, the elected councillor of the 21-Thangdumbur constituency, was administered oath in at the Syed Mehdi Auditorium Hall in Kargil during a ceremony organized by the District Election Authority.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil, Malik Shabeer Ahmad, who served as the prescribed authority, administered the oath to the newly elected member, Agah Syed Ahmad.

Present at the ceremony were Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC, Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon; Executive Councillor for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Er. Punchok Tashi; Executive Councillor, Aga Syed Mujtaba Mussavi; EC Urban development Kacho Feroz,Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse; Councilors, district officers as well as dignitaries from religious and political spheres.

PM Modi Chairs 11th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting; CMs, UT Heads Attend

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The high-level meeting brought together Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers serving as ex officio members, along with special invitees. The Vice Chairman, members, and Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog are also present. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are also present at the meeting. Several Chief Ministers, including Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Assam's Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bihar's Samrat Choudhary, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, also participated in the meeting. Newly elected Chief Ministers and leaders, including West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay, Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar and Keralam CM VD Satheesan, are also present in the meeting.
