DLSA Jammu reviews preparedness for 3rd National Lok Adalat – 2026

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 02: A meeting regarding timely disposal of cases in the 3rd National Lok Adalat of 2026 and updation of disposal data on the NJDG Portal was convened today in the Office of the Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority Jammu.
The meeting was chaired by I/C Principal District & Sessions Judge / Chairperson, DLSA Jammu Sonia Gupta. The meeting was attended by Civil Judge (Sr. Division) / Secretary, DLSA Jammu Maleeka Sharma along with the Presiding Officers of the Benches constituted for the National Lok Adalat.
During the meeting, the Chairperson deliberated upon various aspects for successful conduct of the 3rd National Lok Adalat scheduled to be held on Sept 12, 2026. The Judicial Officers were impressed upon to ensure timely and effective disposal of cases identified for the Lok Adalat and to make sincere efforts for achieving maximum settlement. Special emphasis was laid on timely and accurate up-dation of disposal data on the NJDG Portal.
The Judicial Officers were directed to ensure that disposal data is updated promptly without any delay. The meeting also focused on adopting a proactive approach to secure higher disposal in the forthcoming Lok Adalat by identifying maximum eligible matters, making effective settlement efforts and ensuring that the Lok Adalat is conducted in a meaningful and result-oriented manner. Various other issues relating to coordination, identification of cases and timely reporting of disposal figures were also discussed.
