Absconder Evading Arrest Since Long Apprehended By Doda Police from Rajasthan

Doda, March 23, 2026:

Continuing its drive against absconders and wanted criminals, Doda Police has successfully apprehended an absconder, namely Dharmindar Kumar S/o Sh. Prem Lal, R/o Layrote, Tehsil Bhalla, District Doda, who had been evading arrest since 2023.

On the directions of SSP Doda, Sh. Sandeep Mehta (JKPS), a dedicated police team from PS Bhaderwah was constituted under the leadership of ASI Raj Kumar, under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah and SHO PS Bhaderwah. Acting on technical leads and generated intelligence, the team proceeded to Jaipur, Rajasthan, and successfully apprehended the absconder from Sindi Camp, Jaipur after sustained efforts. The absconder was subsequently brought to Bhaderwah.

Thereafter, the accused was produced before the Hon’ble Munsiff/JMIC, Bhaderwah, where the Hon’ble Court was pleased to admit him to bail upon furnishing a surety bond of ₹50,000/-.

Doda Police remains committed to tracking down absconders and ensuring that all offenders are brought to justice.

PM Modi Chairs 11th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting; CMs, UT Heads Attend

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The high-level meeting brought together Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers serving as ex officio members, along with special invitees. The Vice Chairman, members, and Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog are also present. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are also present at the meeting.
