Uttar Pradesh Man Dies in Shopian Steamer Blast

A 25-year-old man from Uttar Pradesh died in a tragic accident when a steamer exploded in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred late Wednesday night at a juice factory in Aglar, leaving two others injured. Authorities confirmed the fatalities and injuries shortly after the explosion.

The deceased, identified as Saurabh Singh, lost his life due to severe injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. The other injured individuals, Shiv Kumar and Raj Kumar, both from Uttar Pradesh, also suffered serious injuries and remain under medical care.

Officials stated that the accident happened while the victims were repairing the steamer. Eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion, which shattered nearby windows and sent debris flying across the area. Local residents rushed to assist the wounded and alerted emergency services.

The administration has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Authorities are examining whether proper safety protocols were followed during the repair work at the factory.

An official from the Shopian district administration expressed condolences to the families affected by this incident. “Our thoughts are with the families of the deceased and injured. We are committed to ensuring a thorough investigation into this tragedy and improving safety measures in local industries,” the official stated.
