Celebrate 6th UT foundation day with Zest and Zeal: Advisor Ladakh

Leh, Oct 22, 2024: The Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor UT Ladakh, Dr. Pawan Kotwal chaired a regarding the 6th foundation day of the UT Ladakh at the Civil Secretariat Leh.

At the outset, The meeting discussed several initiatives and preparatory measures for the successful event, which is going to take place on 31th October at Polo ground Leh.
To make the 6th UT Ladakh foundation day and Ekta Diwas (Sardar Patel’s Birthday) successful and vibrant, Advisor issued instructions to hold an Ekta Pledge & Run for Unity on that.

He directed all the concerned officials to set up attractive advertise hoardings on roadsides. Additionally, he said that awareness regarding the event should be published in electronic and print media for the massive outreach.

Further, to mark the celebration, the Advisor instructed the Deputy Commissioner Leh to ensure illumination of prominent buildings, District Magistrate Kargil was asked to do the same in Kargil. He emphasised that school and college going students participation is imperative. In this regard, he instructed concerned officials to start rehearsal for the successful event.

The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary UT Ladakh; DGP Ladakh; DIG Ladakh; Commissioner/ Secretary Social and Tribal Welfare; Administrative Secretary GAD UT Ladakh; Administrative Secretary Culture and Tourism UT Ladakh; District Magistrate Leh; Director of Finance UT Ladakh; Director of Commerce and Industries, and other concerned officials.District Magistrate Kargil, Director of School Education Leh, AD Leh, Director Social Welfare, Director Tourism, Director RDD and others joined the meeting virtually.
