Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal chairs a meeting to review departmental projects/ works of various departments by CPWD

Leh, 08 Oct, 2024: The Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Dr Pawan Kotwal, chaired a meeting to review the progress of developmental projects/ works of various departments being executed by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) at the Conference Hall, UT Secretariat, Leh.During the meeting, the Director of Finance, Dr Safdar Ali, briefed the Advisor, Dr Pawan Kotwal, about the budget allocations provided to various departments to execute developmental works through the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).Dr Kotwal emphasized the need to expedite budget allocation processes and directed the CPWD to ensure that projects are completed within the set timeframes. He also instructed the concerned departments to properly use the funds, ensuring they are effectively utilized to complete the developmental works.Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal emphasized the importance of collective efforts from all officers to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the utilization of resources. He stressed that every rupee spent must contribute meaningfully to the holistic development of Ladakh. The Advisor instructed the concerned officers to ensure that developmental works are carried out with integrity and that public funds are used responsibly to create a lasting impact on the region’s progress.Commissioner/Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Dr Vasantha Kumar N; Commissioner/Secretary, Planning & Monitoring Department, Dr Laltinkhuma Franklin; Administrative Secretary, PWD, Michael M. The officials stationed outside attended the meeting virtually.

PM Modi Chairs 11th NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting; CMs, UT Heads Attend

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi. The high-level meeting brought together Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories, Lieutenant Governors and Administrators of Union Territories, Union Ministers serving as ex officio members, along with special invitees.
