Leh, New district committee headed by;

Leh, October 10, 2024: New District Committee headed by Sh Pramod Kumar Jain, IAS (Retd) Chairman, Sh Kacho Asfandyar Khan IAS (Retd) member, Sh Tsering Angchok, IAS (Retd) member, Sh Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, IAS Deputy Commissioner Kargil (Ex-officio), Sh Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS Deputy Commissioner Leh (Ex officio) has taken charge and started working in pursuance of Union Territory of Ladakh vide Order No: 444-LA(GAD) of 2024 dated: 25.09.2024 and started touring in various New Districts.The Committee has established its office at Silk Route Guest House, Near Tourism Office Leh and is using an email id chairman.ndc@ladakh.gov.in. This for information to all the residents and citizens of Union Territory of Ladakh who may like to give memoranda/suggestions/viewpoints on different aspects pertaining to the formation and operationalization of New Districts namely,

1. Zanskar

2. Nubra

3. Sham

4. Drass

5. Changthang

The committee has already done four days tour to Zanskar and Kargil and met with many deputations and individuals and received their representations which are being processed.
